FAQ

Who is Newson Education’s programme designed for?

Our programmes are designed for healthcare professionals involved in women’s hormone health – including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, menopause specialists, trainees and allied health professionals – who want to build confidence in assessing, diagnosing and treating perimenopause, menopause and wider hormone conditions.

What topics does your programme cover across perimenopause, menopause and wider hormone health?

We cover the full spectrum of women’s hormone health: symptom recognition and assessment, diagnosis of perimenopause and menopause, evidence-based HRT prescribing, managing complex cases and co-morbidities, contraception in midlife, long-term risk reduction, and wider hormone-related conditions that impact women across the life course.

Is your programme CPD accredited and recognised by professional bodies?

Yes. Our core programmes are CPD-accredited and have been independently evaluated to ensure they meet high standards for clinical relevance, scientific integrity and practitioner development. Full CPD details and hours are listed on each programme page.

How is your programme kept up to date with the latest evidence and guidelines?

Content is led by Dr Louise Newson and a faculty of experienced clinicians, drawing on the latest peer-reviewed research, international guidelines and real-world clinical experience. We review and update materials regularly so that teaching reflects current best evidence and emerging data.

What is the time commitment and format for your programme (live, on-demand, blended)?

We offer a mix of on-demand modules you can complete in your own time, live online sessions, and occasional in-person events. Time commitment varies by programme – from short, focused modules to more in-depth, learning – and is clearly outlined on each programme page so you can plan around clinical commitments.

Do you offer any free resources or introductory materials before enrolling on the programme?

Yes. You can access a range of free clinical tools, symptom questionnaires, visual aids, research summaries, podcasts and webinars via our resources section. These materials give you a sense of our approach and can complement your learning before, during and after our programmes.
