Our Services may include:

• online learning;
• digital subscriptions;
• Membership programmes;
• webinars;
• conferences;
• podcasts;
• downloadable resources;
• live educational Events;
• continuing professional development (CPD).

Company information is available on our Website.

These Terms apply whenever you:

• create an Account;
• purchase a Membership;
• subscribe to our Platform;
• purchase digital Content;
• register for an Event;
• access any Newson educational Services.

By doing so, you confirm that:

• you have read these Terms;
• you agree to be bound by them;
• you are at least 18 years of age;
• the information you provide is accurate and complete.

Some Services are intended exclusively for healthcare professionals.

Where eligibility requirements apply, Newson reserves the right to request evidence of professional registration or qualifications before granting access.

Completion of any educational programme:

• does not confer a licence to practise;
• does not replace formal professional qualifications;
• does not guarantee competency;
• does not guarantee employment.

Members remain responsible for ensuring that they practise within their own professional scope, regulatory requirements and applicable laws.

Newson Education provides educational resources for continuing professional development.

Nothing on the Platform or at any Event constitutes:

• medical advice;
• diagnosis;
• treatment recommendations;
• individual patient advice;
• legal advice;

Healthcare professionals remain responsible for making decisions based on individual patient circumstances, current evidence and applicable clinical guidelines.

To access certain Services, you must create an Account. 

Memberships are personal.

You must not:

• share login credentials; 
•  allow others to access your Account;
• create multiple accounts to avoid subscription fees;
• use another Member's Account.

Where Newson reasonably believes an Account has been shared or misused, we may:

• suspend access;
• terminate Membership;
• refuse future access.

No refund shall normally be payable where termination results from breach of these Terms.

Newson offers a range of Memberships and subscription plans.

Membership benefits are described on our Website and may change from time to time.

Benefits may include:

• educational videos;
• webinars;
• podcasts;
• downloadable resources;
• CPD activities;
• exclusive Events; c
• linical updates;
• member-only educational materials.

Unless otherwise stated, access is available only during the active subscription period.

Membership fees are payable in advance.

By purchasing a recurring Membership, you authorise Newson or our payment provider to collect recurring payments until your Membership is cancelled.

We may amend subscription pricing from time to time.

Where required by law, Members will receive reasonable notice before any renewal at a revised price.

Unless otherwise stated, recurring Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle.

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time before your next renewal date through your Account or by contacting our Customer Support Team

Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not normally entitle you to a refund for the current subscription period.

Where a Membership or digital product is purchased online by a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 may apply.

Consumers generally have a statutory fourteen (14) day cooling-off period.

However, where immediate access to digital Content has been requested and the consumer has acknowledged that the service will begin immediately, the statutory right to cancel may be lost or reduced in accordance with applicable law

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory consumer rights.

All digital Content is licensed, not sold. Members receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access Content during the applicable access period.

Members must not:

• copy;
• reproduce;
• distribute;
• publish;
• commercially exploit;
• upload Content to file-sharing platforms;
• provide access to third parties.

Bookings for conferences, workshops, webinars, masterclasses and other educational Events are confirmed only when:

• payment has been successfully received; or
• a payment plan has been agreed in writing (where offered); and
• Newson has issued written confirmation of the booking.

Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Newson reserves the right to refuse or decline a booking where:

• eligibility requirements are not met;
• inaccurate information has been provided;
• payment has not been received;
• attendance may compromise the safety, wellbeing or learning experience of delegates or faculty.

Where payment by instalments is offered:

• payments must be made on the agreed dates;
• failure to make payments may result in suspension or cancellation of your booking;
• certificates or CPD records may be withheld until all outstanding fees have been paid.

If payment is made through a third-party finance or payment provider, your agreement with that provider remains separate from your agreement with Newson.

Members may request to transfer their booking to another Event by contacting Newson in writing.

Subject to availability:

More than eight (8) weeks before the Event

• One transfer will normally be permitted without an administration fee.

Between four (4) and eight (8) weeks before the Event

• Transfers may be permitted subject to:
• payment of an administration fee;
• payment of any difference in Event fees;
• availability of places.

Less than four (4) weeks before the Event

• Transfers will not normally be permitted.
• Exceptional circumstances may be considered at Newson's discretion.

Delegates may cancel an Event booking by giving written notice.

Cancellation charges reflect the genuine costs incurred in planning Events, including venue hire, speaker commitments, administration, catering, technology and the reduced opportunity to resell places.

Unless otherwise stated:

More than eight (8) weeks before the Event

• The non-refundable deposit (if applicable) will be retained.
• Any balance paid above the deposit will be refunded.

Between four (4) and eight (8) weeks

• Fifty per cent (50%) of the Event fee remains payable.

Less than four (4) weeks

• The full Event fee remains payable.
• Failure to attend an Event without prior written notice will be treated as a cancellation within four weeks.
• Nothing in this clause limits any statutory rights available under applicable consumer law.

Newson may reasonably:

• change speakers;
• amend programmes;
• substitute faculty;
• alter timings;
• change venues; 
• postpone or cancel Events.

This may occur due to:

• llness; venue availability;
• insufficient registrations;
• travel disruption;
• public health requirements;
• circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where an Event is cancelled by Newson, Members may choose either:

• transfer to another Event; or
• receive a refund of Event fees paid.

Newson shall not be liable for travel, accommodation, childcare, loss of earnings or other indirect expenses.

Members are encouraged to avoid making non-refundable travel arrangements until reasonably close to the Event date.

Delegates are expected to attend all scheduled sessions.

Late arrival may result in refusal of entry where it would materially disrupt teaching or prevent completion of the educational programme.

No refund will normally be payable where attendance is refused because of late arrival.

Newson is committed to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive educational environment.

Members and delegates must:

• treat speakers, faculty, delegates and staff respectfully;
• comply with venue policies;
• behave professionally;
• avoid discriminatory, abusive or disruptive conduct;
• follow reasonable instructions given by Newson staff.

Newson reserves the right to remove any individual whose behaviour is considered unsafe, unlawful or disruptive.

Removal from an Event will not normally entitle the individual to a refund.

Where CPD hours or certificates are offered, these relate solely to participation in Newson educational activities.

Members remain responsible for ensuring that any CPD completed satisfies the requirements of their own professional regulator, employer or professional body.

Newson cannot guarantee that any particular regulator will recognise CPD activities undertaken through our Platform or Events.

Newson may provide access to discussion forums, networking opportunities, webinars, online discussions or other collaborative educational spaces.

Participation is voluntary.

Members remain responsible for all content they post.

Members must not publish or share content that:

• is unlawful;
• is defamatory;
• is abusive;
• is discriminatory;
• is threatening;
• infringes another person's intellectual property rights;
• breaches patient confidentiality;
• promotes unsafe clinical practice;
• contains misleading medical information;
• constitutes spam or unauthorised advertising.

Newson may remove content or restrict access where these standards are breached.

Repeated or serious breaches may result in suspension or termination of Membership.

Clinical cases discussed through the Platform, webinars or Events are intended solely for educational purposes.

Members must ensure that any patient information shared has been appropriately anonymised.

Members must not disclose identifiable patient information or confidential clinical records through the Platform or any Newson community.

Failure to comply may result in immediate suspension of Membership and, where appropriate, notification to the relevant professional or regulatory body.

Newson may record webinars and educational sessions.

Recordings may subsequently be made available to Members through the Platform.

By participating in live webinars, Members acknowledge that:

• questions submitted through chat functions may appear in recordings;
• recordings may include participant names where visible during the session.

Unauthorised recording, copying or redistribution of webinars is prohibited without prior written consent.

Members retain ownership of the content they submit.

By posting within the Platform, Members grant Newson a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, reproduce and moderate that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

Members warrant that they have the necessary rights to publish any content submitted.

Newson reserves the right to remove content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.

All intellectual property rights in the Platform, our educational Content and our Services are owned by or licensed to Newson Education.

This includes, without limitation:

• educational videos;
• webinars;
• podcasts;
• presentations;
• downloadable resources;
• articles; graphics;
• course materials;
• assessments; templates;
• logos;
• branding;
• website content;
• educational methodologies;
• and any future content made available through the Platform.

Your Membership provides a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access the Content for your own educational purposes only.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property rights to you.

Unless Newson has provided prior written permission, Members must not:

• copy or reproduce Content;
• distribute educational materials;
• publish Content online;
• sell or license Content;
• modify educational resources;
• remove copyright notices;
• create derivative works; record Events or webinars;
• upload Content to third-party platforms;
• share access with non-members;
• use Content to develop or deliver competing educational programmes.

Unauthorised use of Newson Content may result in immediate suspension or termination of Membership and may lead to legal action.

Newson recognises that Members may use AI tools to support their personal learning. However, our educational Content remains protected by copyright and confidential business information.

Members must not use Newson Content to:

• train artificial intelligence models;
• create datasets for machine learning;
• develop competing educational products;
• scrape or systematically extract Platform Content;
• reproduce substantial portions of our educational materials using generative AI;
• create automated knowledge bases using proprietary Newson Content.

Members must not upload substantial portions of Newson's proprietary educational materials into publicly accessible AI platforms where doing so could disclose confidential or copyrighted information.

This clause does not prevent Members from using general-purpose AI tools to summarise their own notes or support their own learning, provided Newson's confidential materials are not reproduced or shared in breach of these Terms.

Members agree to use the Platform responsibly and lawfully.

Members must not:

• interfere with Platform security;
• introduce viruses or malicious software;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access;
• reverse engineer Platform software;
• use automated bots without written permission;
• overload Platform infrastructure;
• attempt to bypass subscription controls.

Any suspected misuse may result in immediate suspension while an investigation is carried out.

Newson aims to provide continuous access to the Platform, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Temporary interruptions may occur due to:

• planned maintenance;
• software updates;
• security improvements;
• internet outages;
• failures affecting third-party hosting providers; or
• circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where practicable, we will seek to minimise disruption and restore services as quickly as reasonably possible.

The Platform may include links to third-party websites, applications or services for your convenience.

Newson is not responsible for:

• third-party websites;
• external educational resources;
• payment providers;
• software providers;
• third-party content.

Any use of third-party services is subject to the relevant provider's own terms and policies.

Members may have access to confidential educational discussions, clinical case studies and proprietary educational materials.

Members agree not to disclose confidential information obtained through Membership except where disclosure is required by law.

Where clinical cases are discussed, Members must ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Patient-identifiable information must never be shared through the Platform, Events or community channels.

These confidentiality obligations continue after Membership ends.

Newson processes personal data in accordance with:

• the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR);
• the Data Protection Act 2018; and
• our Privacy Policy.

Personal data may be processed for purposes including:

• administering Memberships;
• processing payments;
• providing educational services;
• issuing CPD certificates;
• improving our services;
• complying with legal obligations; and
• communicating with Members regarding their accounts and educational activities.

Newson may photograph or record certain Events for educational, promotional or marketing purposes.

Where Members are clearly identifiable, Newson will obtain consent where required by applicable data protection legislation.

Members who do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings should notify a member of the Newson team before the Event begins.

Unauthorised recording of Events, webinars or educational sessions is prohibited unless expressly authorised by Newson.

Where a Member voluntarily provides a testimonial, review or case study to Newson, the Member grants Newson permission to reproduce that content for marketing and educational purposes unless otherwise agreed.

Members may withdraw consent for future use by contacting Newson. Withdrawal of consent will not affect materials already lawfully published.

Newson is committed to delivering high-quality education and customer service.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our Services, we encourage you to raise your concerns as soon as possible.

Where appropriate, concerns should first be raised informally with a member of the Newson team.

If the matter cannot be resolved informally, a formal complaint should be submitted in writing within fourteen (14) days of the matter arising.

We aim to:

• acknowledge complaints within five (5) working days;
• and provide a substantive response within twenty (20) working days.
• Each complaint will be considered fairly and on its individual merits.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Newson's liability for:

• death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
• any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
  
  

Subject to the above, Newson shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including:

• loss of profits;
• loss of business;
• loss of revenue;
• loss of opportunity;
• loss of goodwill; or
• loss of anticipated savings.
  
  
  

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Newson's total liability arising from any Membership, purchase or Event shall not exceed the amount paid by the Member for the relevant Service giving rise to the claim.

Educational Content is provided for professional education and continuing professional development only.

Members remain responsible for exercising independent professional judgement and complying with applicable clinical guidance, regulatory requirements and legal obligations.

Newson may suspend or terminate a Membership where a Member:

• materially breaches these Terms;
• shares login credentials;
• fails to pay Membership fees;
• abuses staff, speakers or other Members;
• infringes intellectual property rights;
• engages in unlawful conduct; or
• repeatedly breaches Community Standards.
  
  

Where appropriate, Newson may provide an opportunity to remedy the breach before terminating Membership.

Termination does not affect any accrued rights or obligations.

Newson shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances include, but are not limited to:

• severe weather;
• natural disasters;
• pandemic or epidemic;
• government restrictions;
• cyber attacks;
• internet outages;
• industrial action;
• venue closures;
• utility failures;
• illness of speakers or faculty;
• civil unrest;
• terrorism; or
• any other event beyond our reasonable control.
  
  

Where reasonably practicable, Newson will seek to reschedule affected services or provide a suitable alternative.

Newson continually develops and improves its educational offering.

We may make reasonable changes to:

• Membership benefits;
• educational Content;
• speakers; faculty;
• Events; 
• Platform functionality;
• learning pathways.

Where changes materially affect an active paid Membership, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

The version of these Terms applicable to your purchase will generally be the version in force when your order is accepted, unless a change is required by law or is to your benefit.Small text.

Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Newson and the Member in relation to the Services purchased.

Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver
Failure by Newson to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other rights.

Assignment
Members may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without Newson's prior written consent.

Newson may assign its rights and obligations where doing so does not adversely affect Members' rights.

Third Party Rights
No person other than Newson and the Member shall have any right to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 unless expressly stated otherwise.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

Your Membership provides a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access the Content for your own educational purposes only.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property rights to you.

Unless Newson has provided prior written permission, Members must not:

• copy or reproduce Content;
• distribute educational materials;
• publish Content online;
• sell or license Content;
• modify educational resources;
• remove copyright notices;
• create derivative works; record Events or webinars;
• upload Content to third-party platforms;
• share access with non-members;
• use Content to develop or deliver competing educational programmes.

Unauthorised use of Newson Content may result in immediate suspension or termination of Membership and may lead to legal action.

Newson recognises that Members may use AI tools to support their personal learning. However, our educational Content remains protected by copyright and confidential business information.

Members must not use Newson Content to:

• train artificial intelligence models;
• create datasets for machine learning;
• develop competing educational products;
• scrape or systematically extract Platform Content;
• reproduce substantial portions of our educational materials using generative AI;
• create automated knowledge bases using proprietary Newson Content.

Members must not upload substantial portions of Newson's proprietary educational materials into publicly accessible AI platforms where doing so could disclose confidential or copyrighted information.

This clause does not prevent Members from using general-purpose AI tools to summarise their own notes or support their own learning, provided Newson's confidential materials are not reproduced or shared in breach of these Terms.

Members agree to use the Platform responsibly and lawfully.

Members must not:

• interfere with Platform security;
• introduce viruses or malicious software;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access;
• reverse engineer Platform software;
• use automated bots without written permission;
• overload Platform infrastructure;
• attempt to bypass subscription controls.

Any suspected misuse may result in immediate suspension while an investigation is carried out.

Newson aims to provide continuous access to the Platform, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Temporary interruptions may occur due to:

• planned maintenance;
• software updates;
• security improvements;
• internet outages;
• failures affecting third-party hosting providers; or
• circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where practicable, we will seek to minimise disruption and restore services as quickly as reasonably possible.

The Platform may include links to third-party websites, applications or services for your convenience.

Newson is not responsible for:

• third-party websites;
• external educational resources;
• payment providers;
• software providers;
• third-party content.

Any use of third-party services is subject to the relevant provider's own terms and policies.

Members may have access to confidential educational discussions, clinical case studies and proprietary educational materials.

Members agree not to disclose confidential information obtained through Membership except where disclosure is required by law.

Where clinical cases are discussed, Members must ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Patient-identifiable information must never be shared through the Platform, Events or community channels.

These confidentiality obligations continue after Membership ends.

Newson processes personal data in accordance with:

• the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR);
• the Data Protection Act 2018; and
• our Privacy Policy.

Personal data may be processed for purposes including:

• administering Memberships;
• processing payments;
• providing educational services;
• issuing CPD certificates;
• improving our services;
• complying with legal obligations; and
• communicating with Members regarding their accounts and educational activities.

Newson may photograph or record certain Events for educational, promotional or marketing purposes.

Where Members are clearly identifiable, Newson will obtain consent where required by applicable data protection legislation.

Members who do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings should notify a member of the Newson team before the Event begins.

Unauthorised recording of Events, webinars or educational sessions is prohibited unless expressly authorised by Newson.

Where a Member voluntarily provides a testimonial, review or case study to Newson, the Member grants Newson permission to reproduce that content for marketing and educational purposes unless otherwise agreed.

Members may withdraw consent for future use by contacting Newson. Withdrawal of consent will not affect materials already lawfully published.

Newson is committed to delivering high-quality education and customer service.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our Services, we encourage you to raise your concerns as soon as possible.

Where appropriate, concerns should first be raised informally with a member of the Newson team.

If the matter cannot be resolved informally, a formal complaint should be submitted in writing within fourteen (14) days of the matter arising.

We aim to:

• acknowledge complaints within five (5) working days;
• and provide a substantive response within twenty (20) working days.
• Each complaint will be considered fairly and on its individual merits.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Newson's liability for:

• death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
• any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
  
  

Subject to the above, Newson shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including:

• loss of profits;
• loss of business;
• loss of revenue;
• loss of opportunity;
• loss of goodwill; or

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Newson's total liability arising from any Membership, purchase or Event shall not exceed the amount paid by the Member for the relevant Service giving rise to the claim.

Educational Content is provided for professional education and continuing professional development only.

Members remain responsible for exercising independent professional judgement and complying with applicable clinical guidance, regulatory requirements and legal obligations.

Newson may suspend or terminate a Membership where a Member:

• materially breaches these Terms;
• shares login credentials;
• fails to pay Membership fees;
• abuses staff, speakers or other Members;
• infringes intellectual property rights;
• engages in unlawful conduct; or
• repeatedly breaches Community Standards.
  
  

Where appropriate, Newson may provide an opportunity to remedy the breach before terminating Membership.

Termination does not affect any accrued rights or obligations.

Newson shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances include, but are not limited to:

• severe weather;
• natural disasters;
• pandemic or epidemic;
• government restrictions;
• cyber attacks;
• internet outages;
• industrial action;
• venue closures;
• utility failures;
• illness of speakers or faculty;
• civil unrest;
• terrorism; or
• any other event beyond our reasonable control.
  
  

Where reasonably practicable, Newson will seek to reschedule affected services or provide a suitable alternative.

Newson continually develops and improves its educational offering.

We may make reasonable changes to:

• Membership benefits;
• educational Content;
• speakers; faculty;
• Events; 
• Platform functionality;
• learning pathways.

Where changes materially affect an active paid Membership, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

The version of these Terms applicable to your purchase will generally be the version in force when your order is accepted, unless a change is required by law or is to your benefit.Small text.

Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Newson and the Member in relation to the Services purchased.

Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver
Failure by Newson to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other rights.

Assignment
Members may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without Newson's prior written consent.

Newson may assign its rights and obligations where doing so does not adversely affect Members' rights.

Third Party Rights
No person other than Newson and the Member shall have any right to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 unless expressly stated otherwise.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
