Confidence in Hormones is an expert-led programme designed to give healthcare professionals of all specialties a clear, practical grounding in the hormone health of women.

Hormones 101

This first module focuses on the foundations of hormone health, including:

  • The historical and regulatory context shaping menopause and hormone care
  • Core hormone physiology and why symptoms present as system-wide patterns
  • The impact of misinformation and variation in prescribing practice
  • Principles of body-identical hormones and individualised, patient-centred care.

Understanding hormones is fundamental to supporting patients experiencing hormonal change. This module strengthens your understanding of hormone health by exploring the key female hormones – estradiol, progesterone and testosterone – and how physiological fluctuations influence wellbeing across the lifespan, including during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause.

This module also explores hormone replacement therapy (HRT), including available formulations, the clinical differences between synthetic and body-identical hormones, and common myths and misconceptions surrounding HRT and hormone health.
